Prep Your Existing Railing
Before installing the PSS rail, you may need to make some preparations. If your existing railing has deck posts that extend above the 2×6 top rail, you will need to make some modifications to get the top rail ready.
Trim the deck posts flush with the 2×6 top rail.
If the existing posts are as wide as the 2×6 top rail, you will need to notch the posts to match the profile of the PSS rail.
Once these preparations are done, you are ready to install your PSS rail!
